My car is 17-years old and they asked what it I wanted and the listened. They were good because they did not start out with a list of things to do, rather they said they would look it over and let me know what they identified. Then they were able to call me up, tell me what they say, why it needed fixing and were up front about what the costs were for the repair. They also told me what was a priority and what could wait. They were very good about explaining it all.

Once again, Tom's Automotive Service has come through with flying colors. I have a 21-year-old vehicle that's in great shape but recently I thought I heard some sort of thumping that might indicate a hole in the exhaust system or something. Tom's thoroughly inspected my Saturn, took her out for a couple of spins, hoisted her up on the lift and generally gave her an intense exam. The result - nothing other than age and a few minor parts starting to wear out (sort of like me!). Some outfits might have charged an arm and a leg for this but the final bill was under $200! What a great group of folks!

Though I appreciate the inspection and diagnosis of other potential problems and prompt resolution of those problems, I was a little blindsided by the need for the transmission flush after thinking that I had just done one of those about 5,000 miles ago. It just gave me an unsettling feeling as to whether it was Tom's or Oil Can Henry's that had taken advantage of me and I'll really know. Otherwise, I was happy with the service that I received and had called another auto shop prior to coming to Tom's for the repair. The other quote was nearly $200 higher than Tom's so I was happy to have found Tom's.
