Though I appreciate the inspection and diagnosis of other potential problems and prompt resolution of those problems, I was a little blindsided by the need for the transmission flush after thinking that I had just done one of those about 5,000 miles ago. It just gave me an unsettling feeling as to whether it was Tom's or Oil Can Henry's that had taken advantage of me and I'll really know. Otherwise, I was happy with the service that I received and had called another auto shop prior to coming to Tom's for the repair. The other quote was nearly $200 higher than Tom's so I was happy to have found Tom's.
It is possible if Oil Can Henrys only drained and filled the transmission that the fluid did not get completely clean. It is very similar to if you did your dirty dishes in the sink, drained half the water out and put fresh water on top. We flush the system to be sure you have beautiful fresh fluid remaining.
