I had a chronic problem with my PT Cruiser not wanting to start, taking up to 30 sec of cranking before it would finally catch. This is an intermittent problem, and the dealer has tried a couple of times, unsuccessfully, to fix it. Recently it got bad enough that I was reluctant to drive the car. I took it to Tom's, and since I was in a jam, they squeezed me in even though they had no open appointments. They were up front about maybe not being able to get to it right away, but said they'd try. I dropped off the car in the morning, got a call from the mechanic about 9 AM to talk about how the car was behaving and look for clues, and he took the time required to listen and figure it out. The problem was diagnosed and the car fixed and ready to go by the end of the day. It could not have gone better. They went the extra mile to get me back on the road, and I really appreciate it. I'll definitely be back.

Convenient location, and shuttle service. Impressed with staff and attention to detail. The charges at $2,500 were unexpected,but obviously necessary for a used car I had owned for one week. Should have had it inspected first.

Being new to Seattle I had no idea who to turn to when my car started to act funny. I ended up being referred to Toms Automotive and am so glad that I was. Not only were they easy to talk to over the phone and willing to help me with anything, they also provided a free shuttle to and from my house so that I didn't have to go through the hassle of finding a ride once my car got dropped off. The office was nice, with paper and coffee to enjoy while you waited, and the staff were very warm, friendly and helpful.
